Green Party

The Green Party is
a political party dedicated to environmentalism, non-violence and “social
justice,” according to the U.S. Green Party’s Web site. It is against corporate
political donations and corporate globalization, and it favors universal health
care and alternative energy sources. The party operates primarily through
grassroots organizing. A Green Party candidate, often referred to as a “third
party” candidate, was on the ballot in the 1996, 2000 and 2004 U.S.
presidential elections.
