Gender Gap

This term refers
to disparities of quality or quantity between males and females. There is a gender
gap, for example, when a woman is paid less than a man for equal work or when
male students attend college in fewer numbers than female students. In
politics, the term is often used when a candidate has stronger support among
women than among men, or vice versa.
