Oval Office

The Oval Office is the room in the White House where the president of the United States works and often receives visitors. Since the first Oval Office was built in 1909, the room has always contained a white marble mantel, the presidential seal in the ceiling and two flags behind the president’s desk, the U.S. flag and the president’s flag.
