In a partnership between Student Voices and MacNeil/Lehrer Productions, these ten video lesson plan packages cover topics on civic engagement for young people: from researching and solving community issues to contacting local elected officials to working as a poll volunteer. These lesson plan packages include a brief 3-to-6 minute the.News video report, a background article, a Speak Out discussion and a lesson guide for conducting the activities in class. Each lesson is designed for one class period.
